The Golden Triangle Men's Group began when two men admitted to each other that they sensed a lack of power to accomplish important tasks in their lives. One of the men had also lost heart and felt deep despair. One day, one of the men said, "I know a wise man who has power and direction. We should go see him." When they did, he suggested, "There is power when men gather together." So, the three of them sat in a circle of men. This became a beginning. Soon other men joined them. Some came and stayed; some came and left. All men must walk their own path.

Each man has a story to tell. In the circle of men, each man finds acceptance and compassion, which gives him the courage to speak honestly about his life. From time to time, we drum. In drumming, we find rhythm within ourselves and begin to discern the rhythm of shared community and hope. From time to time, a man shares a poem or myth or fable that has meaning to him. Mostly, we listen with our hearts as each man in the circle is given opportunity to tell his story.

We meet biweekly in Starkville, Mississippi. All men are welcome. If you are interested, contact Raven.
